Log/ Initial phase

10/02/965

N : I've finally been able to infiltrate their systems. Let's setup this page to use as reference if anything breaks.

N : This access should is necessary for the Bough project, as to grant the contracts that will benefit the office most.

N: I'll see wether or not this Distortion will allow me to go as deep as I want in their systems in the coming days. But being able to have this anchor point will facilitate further development.

N : Will further report here in the coming days...

15/02/965

N : I think I feel confident enough to finally start the experiment. I'll have Epsilon bring me around to the different Nests to make them sign the contracts. Yesterday's Promise is a dangerous tool, and I'm afraid of what could happen with me keeping it active for so long, but it's the best way to guarantee safety both ways. I'll keep corrosion in check as much as I can and things will be alright.

16/02/965

N : The trip to District 3 was far from the most reassuring, but it is done, the team was collected and transported to their office. Gamma is already there to manage their arrival. He will probably not appreciate not knowing exaclty the plan with this team, but it's for his own good. Alpha should arrive short after they wake up to make sure everything is alright.

Log/ First applied phase

20/02/965

N : My initial experiments to manipulate which contracts would be attributed to the team seems to have been successful. The reconnaissance Lambda conducted in Thevillagewithnoname showed it would be the prime location to create favorable connections with their Hana representative and expose them to an Obelisk (or at least a bigger one than the one the child carries). She'll probably be able to tail them during their expedition too to make sure nothing irreversible happens.

N : This being done, the rest of the plan is set in motion. I'll nudge things in the right direction in the background to get their realization started. I'll have to investigate this bar in the north of District 18 soon...

24/05/965

N : I can barely work on this currently, Epsilon keeps pushing us towards exploring more ruins near The Library in search for relics. Just how many of them do we need? Hopefully Gamma and Alpha will be able to handle the office in the meantime. Hopefully the moves I have made so far will allow for things to progress smoothly on their own.

25/02/965

N : Alpha has kindly asked me to give them a more direct channel of communication. I'll probably give them access to this page when I figure out how to do it safely... I'll make my logs unreadable on their end.

Chatlog/ Active operations

26/02/965

A : Test test test... Is my message readable ?

N Yes, how is it going on your end? Back to the office yet?

A : Almost, taking my last break before getting there to refill on blood, I got some hemobars from the Family. Will report if anything major happens.

A : Ok, found some old friends sparring with the team. Got them to scram but they will come back to trial them again. Looks like Limbus Company knows we have a bough and wants to acquire it. It also seems that as long as we can keep it safe they are okay with leaving it to us. Are they afraid another party would want to acquire her?

N : N Corp has been moving in on trying to acquire boughs for sometime too, and they have encountered the company multiple times apparently so that's a possibility. Anyway if they are bound to come back, better prepare the team and get them powered up. Bring them to The Library if necessary to compress the training time to a maximum. Their memory can be wiped afterwards.

A : You know I don't think tinkering with their memories is a good idea. You've already done that after they signed your contracts and they still seem upset about it. You also refuse to show up and show them the contracts. Hell, you haven't shown any of us. It's not like you.

N : Their content will be revealed in due time. Meanwhile, focus on their development, don't loose your wits like against that doctor woman and keep Gamma in check too.

A : Fine. But don't expect Gamma to take this weird way to conduct yourself kindly. You've changed so suddenly and are refusig to give him any explanations or any reassuring words. He looks up to you you know ?

N : I know, but for now I believe it's for the best.

N : Tell him I'm trying to do what's best for us

N : No, forget it.

27/02/985

A : We saw Sander's parents at the office. One of them is a Claw ?? The other one a former Arbiter ??? What got into you to poke into this can of worms ?????

A : Urgh... Now I get why you mentionned this option. if they want to have a chance against even the butlers at their mansion they are gonna need to train, and fast.

A : I'll take care of the invitation, go and warn Angela and the rest.

N : I'll meet you tomorrow then. Gebura's and Binah's teachings will let this team develop some well-needed battle sense and sensitivity to the light. Kether is still out with Lambda so we'll do it without him.

N : You do not have to worry about it. As you've seen with their previous reactions, this Distortion works quite well to surgically remove the details we'd rather stay hidden for now. If they ask any questions, tell them you trained them personally but they were so exhausted they forgot everything.

A : Ok. I still don't like this but it's the best option we have to give them a fighting chance for what's to come. I'll get things ready while the team sleeps, Gamma will stay on the lookout. How long do you think this training will be ?

N : Probably around a week.

04/03/985

A : The team is back in the office, placed in resting position as to wake up naturally as if they fell asleep because of exhaustion.

N : Good, stay on the lookout for anything that might have happened while the team was gone.

05/03/985

A : Adzo is gone. Gamma and the team are unrecognisable. Yesterday's Promise bound him as he tried to help. They received help from the people of Limbus Company but they got stopped by the Greater Sister. If Gamma hadn't been paralyzed by these chains he could have saved them. Why ? Why was he bound like that when he tried to help them ? How come the person that used to be YOUR CLOSEST CONFIDANT was he bound by chains YOU should control when he tried to help YOUR PROJECT ?!!

A : We cannot go on like this. I don't know what you are up to, or what is this thing doing to you but this has to be stopped. I woudn't be surprised if sooner or later you'd just plan something against the office, or against us, just to test one of your theories. When did the wellbeing of those around you started to be less important than your stupid research?

A : You better answer for yourself, and sooner rather than later. Otherwise I can't promise you'll still have us at the end of this road. Not the team, nor Gamma, nor me.

N : I do not answer to you, Alpha. Everything is part of the plan. Tend to the team while their recover. It will be Sander's turn soon. End of communications.

Log/ Awakening phase

06/03/985

N : Sleep depravation is really starting to get the better of me, but I need to keep Yesterday's Promise active no matter what. The noise keeps getting lowder... I've spent the whole night thinking about how to handle things going forward.

N : I feel like Alpha can blow up on me at any moment. I still need them to take care of the team at the office and for the later part of the plan, maybe it would be better not to unnverve them and Gamma further for now and handle things myself.

N : I can't shake this unrest as they are bound to C Corp today. Lambda can't be sent with them this time around. She has her own plans along with Kether. I have to verify wether or not they are following the script, but going there myself is a risk, especially if things are going as planned...

N : The local forces shouldn't be too much of a problem, Claws on the other hand are not to be underestimated, especially if I get outnumbered. I might use Epsilon's power for a split second in case I get cornered. I'm too well known for this to be completely safe and I can't afford to overuse my powers. I feel like some of my thoughts are not my own anymore, and every use only accelerates the spread.

N : I've made up y mind. Let's think of this as following the partition. The instruments I have at my disposal will allow me to carry this out. I shall be the conductor guiding this project forward no matter the rejection of my colleagues. I'll show them that it'll be worth it in the end. Today, I'm bound to C Corp's Nest.

07/03/985

N : The meeting didn't really go as expected. Or at least, I think. They seemed to be particularly inquisitive an even a bit afraid? Did they know I was coming? No matter, at least I gave them the information about the deadline; and hopefully the additional information about their contract will lower their suspicion. I did not expect them to behave with such hostility. I did try to put them at ease... Did I?

N : In any case, Sander's progress seems to follow path C, with the Stigmas visible in proximity to the Bough and what happened with his parents. He seemed properly distressed with how I would handle the recovery of the first parent. The other one might come back soon enough, hopefully he'll be ready by then. I might even try and find them myself first.

N : The presence of Crystal was, however, an unexpected variable. Maybe she'll come to be a critical key in his growth, who knows what Her plans are for them and their parents.

N : Now they should be in U Corp going towards their new goal. Arkal's own implication in the series of events to come left me with little work to do, so things should hardly go off-rails. Let's leave them on their own for this once. If they can't get out of this alive, they won't be of much help when the time comes.

N :They still have a long way to go power-wise, but the bough seems to be interacting with their potential in a truly formidable way. They express to Her their unique Light, and it feeds their growth. Light is truly a mesmerizing thing.

N : We'll see how things are once they are done with this expedition. In the meantime, I'll probably entertain Epsilon or try to calm things down with Alpha, whatever will be more beneficial to the end goal.

N : Addendum: Despite the detailed journal above, I struggle to remember several details of the discussion, and I was surprised to see how much time had elapsed in there once I went away. I almost let the Hana Association get to me. How did this happen?

N : While rereading the logs I struggle finding myself in most of the recent entries... Why does it feel so... heartless? I should not bother Angela to check for Corrosion; besides, it's probably just fatigue. It's my first time being awake with a power active for more than a few days, and it's almost been a month... I should be able to keep it in check, especially since it's idle 99% of the time... I will keep it in check. Still, this intermittent noise will drive me insane...
